Sunday, 13 December, 2020

Senedd Candidate for Cardiff South & Penarth Cllr Leighton Rowlands has raised concerns in regards to the recently news story published in Wales Online reviled that the Health Board has urgent closed the mental health ward at University Hospital Llandough due to staff having COVID after attending a party.

Leighton said I'm seeking assurance that the wards in Hafen Y Coed are adequately staffed and that patients are still being provided optimal and accessible care to meet their needs. In addition, I have been asked to seek assurance that any patients who have been looked after by the Hafen Y Coed staff who are now isolating, will be given regular COVID tests thereby, reducing any anxiety they may have.
